AACPS Home Plate Philosophy

Students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools have the opportunity to access engaging and enriching learning despite the unscheduled closing of one or more of our schools.  When schools close due to weather related or other events, students may access Home Plate Learning Opportunities to participate in academic activities designed to engage them while at home.  These lessons, designed as connections to authentic and exciting experiences, provide resources students may access via television, the intranet, community libraries, and community centers.  Specific activities connect elementary, middle, and high school students with...
