About Us

What is it?

AACPS Speaks is a speaker series for Anne Arundel County Public Schools employees and Anne Arundel County citizens to hear from local and national speakers converging to deliver inspiration, hope and resources to build and strengthen our Anne Arundel County Community. Each event, which will be open to every employee in AACPS, will offer our teachers and employees a chance to relax, network, and “fill their tank,” and connect stake holders to resources within our community.

Why do this?

Anne Arundel County Public Schools has the unique opportunity to touch the lives of all community members, families, and employees within Anne Arundel County. Inspiring one another, reaching out to connect people to people and people to resources is a way to build connections, strengthen relationships, and foster positive interactions between all stakeholders. Our county is large and we believe that building connections and compassion will improve the quality of life. Participants will walk away with creative ideas, solutions to problems, access to resources, or increased hope for humanity.

When is it?

1-2 times per year

Where is it?

Locations will vary around Anne Arundel County.

Who is invited?

Teachers, AACPS employees, parents, students, and community members are invited to attend the different events. Each event will have a different focus for a different audience.
